Godliness, Academics & Co-curricular Excellence
Our Early Years of Education section comprises of Play group, Pre-primary One, and Pre-primary Two, providing a strong foundation for our students to build upon as they progress through their academic journey. At Sun and Shield Primary & Junior School, we believe that every child deserves a quality education, and we are dedicated to providing just that.
The school first opened its doors in 2007 and has since experienced steady growth in both numbers and development. Over the years, we have achieved great success, with our pioneer class of alumni finding placement in reputable high schools and subsequently, universities. However, what truly sets us apart is our commitment to character formation and instilling a fear of God in our pupils as they pursue their studies.
Our character building curriculum is rooted in God's word, with Psalm 119:9 serving as a favorite verse among our staff and students alike. Each week of the school year is dedicated to a specific character trait, with a corresponding verse that is memorized by our pupils. This approach ensures that our students not only excel academically but also develop into well-rounded individuals with strong moral values.
In today's fast-paced world, it is crucial to equip our pupils with the information they need to make informed choices. Our guidance department is a vibrant hub of activity, providing information on a wide range of topics, from time and self-management to critical issues related to physical and social health. We believe that this approach strengthens the moral fiber of our students and the wider community. Peer counseling is just one of the many ways we help our pupils navigate life's challenges.
Parents who have entrusted their children to us have been delighted with the divine influence our school has had on their children. Our pupils have also testified to the transformative power of our pastoral programs, which have helped them develop a deeper relationship with Christ and make better decisions in their daily lives. We believe that character is essential for the prosperous progress of our pupils and alumni, and we are proud to say that our graduates are trusted to make the right decisions when faced with difficult situations.
If you are looking for a school that will not only provide your child with a top-notch education but also help them develop into a well-rounded individual with strong moral values, look no further than our school. We are committed to working with you to mold an individual you will not have
