Our Grade 9 learners recently participated in a dynamic and hands-on KNEC project — Agriculture and Nutrition Paper 2 (906/2) — with a special focus on hygiene in the home. As part of this practical assessment, learners actively engaged in laundering loose towels and thoroughly scrubbing household buckets, essential tasks that promote both personal and domestic cleanliness.
This project served as a powerful bridge between classroom theory and practical application, aligning perfectly with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). It not only deepened learners' understanding of hygiene but also nurtured valuable life skills such as responsibility, teamwork, attention to detail, and time management.
The maturity, collaboration, and commitment demonstrated by the learners throughout the exercise were truly commendable. We are proud of how they embraced the task, applying their knowledge meaningfully in a real-world context.
Well done, Grade 9! Keep shining and leading by example, your hard work and positive attitude continue to inspire.
