I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Sun and Shield School. The school derives its name and direction from Psalm 84:11 which states as follows – “for the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favour and honour; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless.” The influence of this verse on our activities in the school is immense as we strive to walk in the light of Christ, letting the word of God be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path (Psalm 119:105). All the good things we desire can be given to us if we walk blameless before God. Therefore, leading upright lives is not an option here, from the Director to the teaching and none teaching staff and the pupils, only then can we receive favour and honour from the LORD, which is our ultimate goal. Therefore, Psalm 84:11 dictates our moves and direction.

Belief
I believe what the Bible says and for sure, “train up a child in the way he/she should go, and when he/she is old, he/she will not turn away from it” (Proverbs 22:6). In Sun and Shield School, we aim at training the child in five key areas; spiritually, academically, physically, socially and economically.
