Sun and Shield School is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of our Drama Team at this year’s Kenya National Drama Festival. Our learners competed at both the Rongai Sub-County and Nakuru County levels, and their performance journey has been nothing short of inspiring.
From the very first presentation at the Rongai Sub-County stage, it was clear that the team had prepared with focus and determination. Their acting was confident and expressive, their voice projection clear and powerful, and their stage movement purposeful and creative. The theme they presented was thoughtful and relevant, delivered with impressive teamwork and coordination. The adjudicators praised their originality, strong character portrayal, and the clarity of their message. Their outstanding performance earned them a well-deserved advancement to the Nakuru County level.
At the Nakuru County Festival, the competition grew even stronger as leading schools from across the county showcased their best work. Yet once again, Sun and Shield rose to the occasion with confidence and excellence. We are delighted to share that several of our items qualified for the Rift Valley Regional Festival. This achievement places our learners among the top performers in the region and reflects their discipline, commitment, and artistic growth.

This success did not happen by chance. It is the result of weeks of dedicated rehearsals, our learners' resilience, and the steady guidance of our passionate trainers. It is also a testament to the consistent support from parents and school leadership who continue to believe in the power of the arts.
Drama at Sun and Shield is more than a co-curricular activity. It is a space where learners build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and discover their creative voices. It nurtures courage, collaboration, and leadership qualities that extend far beyond the stage.
As the team now prepares for the Rift Valley Regional Festival in early March, the excitement continues to build. Rehearsals are ongoing, details are being refined, and the learners are fully focused on representing Rongai Sub-County and Nakuru County with pride.
We celebrate our performers for making the entire school community proud. We appreciate our trainers and teachers for their mentorship and dedication. We thank our parents for walking this journey with us. This achievement reminds us that when talent is guided, supported, and given opportunity, excellence naturally follows.
